Seller Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-08
This policy sets out the rules for farms and producers (hereinafter – Producers) who sell their products on the LaiksPirkt platform. Detailed terms of cooperation are set out in a written agreement between the Producer and [Uzņēmuma nosaukums] (Reg. No. [Reģistrācijas Nr.], legal address: [Juridiskā adrese]). If the agreement and this policy differ, the agreement prevails.
1. Who can become a Producer
- A farm, peasant farm, sole trader, company or self-employed person registered in Latvia who grows or produces food products themselves.
- A Producer involved in food distribution must be registered or approved by the Food and Veterinary Service (PVD) according to their type of activity. The PVD registration or approval number must be submitted before cooperation begins.
- If a product is offered as organic, the Producer must hold a valid organic farming certificate, which we publish on the producer page.
- Before cooperation begins, we get to know the farm, production conditions and documents; where possible, we visit the farm in person.
2. The Producer's role as seller
The Producer is the seller of their products and is responsible for:
- the quality and safety of the products and their compliance with food legislation;
- true and complete product information;
- labelling in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers;
- traceability – the ability to identify the origin of raw materials and the product batch.
LaiksPirkt provides the platform, order acceptance, payment collection, product pick-up, delivery to customers and customer service.
3. Product listing rules
- The product name must be accurate; the weight or volume, unit and price must be stated.
- The description must state the ingredients, allergens, storage conditions, use-by date (or best-before date) and, where applicable, nutrition information.
- Photos must show the actual product; using third-party images without the right to use them is prohibited.
- Misleading claims are prohibited, including unsubstantiated health claims and the words "bio", "eco", "organic" without a certificate.
- It is prohibited to offer products whose distribution is banned in Latvia or which require a permit the Producer does not hold.
- LaiksPirkt may edit descriptions for formatting purposes and may refuse to publish or remove a product that does not comply with this policy.
4. Quality and food safety
- Products must be fresh; at the time of delivery the remaining shelf life must be sufficient for the customer to use the product.
- The cold chain must be maintained: chilled and frozen products are handed over at the appropriate temperature and in appropriate packaging.
- Packaging must be clean, undamaged and suitable for transport.
- The Producer immediately informs LaiksPirkt of any food safety risk or product recall.
- If repeated justified quality claims are received, LaiksPirkt may suspend the product or the Producer profile until the problem is resolved.
5. Prices and commission
- The Producer sets the product prices. Prices are stated in euro including all applicable taxes.
- For platform, delivery and customer service services, LaiksPirkt charges a commission of [komisijas %] of the product sales amount, unless the agreement provides otherwise.
- Costs of the bonus programme and delivery charges are covered in accordance with the terms of the agreement.
6. Orders, quantities and preparation time
- Each week the Producer states which products and in what quantities they can prepare. When the limit is reached, the product automatically becomes unavailable.
- The Producer states the product's delivery days and the required preparation time; this information is shown to customers on the product page.
- The Producer receives orders on the platform and/or by e-mail and confirms them within the set deadline.
- Prepared products are handed over to the LaiksPirkt courier or at the collection point at the agreed time, labelled with the order information.
- If the Producer cannot fulfil an order, they inform LaiksPirkt immediately so that we can notify the customer.
7. Settlements and payouts
- LaiksPirkt collects payments from customers on behalf of the Producer.
- Payouts to the Producer are made to the specified bank account for delivered orders, less the commission and the amounts of justified claims, at the frequency set in the agreement.
- Together with the payout, the Producer receives a statement of products sold, commission and deductions.
- The Producer is responsible for fulfilling their own tax obligations.
8. Customer claims
Customer claims are received by LaiksPirkt and reviewed within 2 working days together with the Producer. The Producer provides information and, if necessary, photos or documents. The amount of a justified claim is deducted from the payout to the Producer.
9. Data protection and confidentiality
The Producer may use customer data only to fulfil the order and may not use it for marketing or pass it on to third parties. The Producer complies with the GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
10. Termination of cooperation
Either party may terminate cooperation in accordance with the procedure set out in the agreement. LaiksPirkt may immediately suspend a Producer profile if food safety is at risk, misleading information is provided or this policy is materially breached.
