ZS VILKAČI

The farm "Vilkači" was founded in 1992; its owner is Skaidrīte Grigale. The farm uses organic methods - certificate No. 05-017-2016/P-01. Its main activity is processing fruit and berries. Pears, raspberries, blackcurrants, quinces, sea buckthorn, strawberries and winter garlic are grown on several hectares. The harvest is processed on the farm: juice is pressed and candied pumpkin and quince are made. Production of blackcurrant, blueberry, gooseberry and raspberry fruit rolls has begun. Seedlings were purchased within a project, and with LEADER project support the farm acquired machinery that makes cultivation easier. Riebiņi Council has repeatedly expressed its gratitude for contributing to the development and well-being of the municipality. The farm hosts participants of training seminars. It takes part in both local and travelling markets, and has exhibited at the Riga FOOD fair and the Latgale region entrepreneurs' days.
