She had the chance to write a business plan, which at first went in a completely different direction - basket weaving. Her partner Māris helped her believe in her dream and abilities, supporting her every step of the way. Over time the whole family and relatives came on board. A true family business. When going to markets they sometimes took vegetables along too, but garlic drew the most interest. That was the nudge to expand in this very direction and learn more about making full use of garlic. From the first 40 jars to thousands of jars! With every jar both the joy and the range grew - 6 kinds of garlic scape pastes, 8 kinds of Asumiņi, dried flakes, garlic powders, garlic sweets and NEW lines - the Gold collection "Dubnas pērle" and the "Forest collection" - true treasures, as absolutely all the ingredients come from Līvāni municipality, home of @livanukiploks. Healthy, valuable recipes created with real historical knowledge. Have you tried garlic caramels? Or garlic, honey and quince together? Or, on the contrary, something savoury - Green paste with marjoram? You simply have to taste them to understand and Feel the power of Līvāni garlic. Recipes that come from Viola's and Māris's childhood - though in fact they are even older - have been cherished and refined to make your meal more valuable, healthier and tastier! Līvānu ķiploks has taken care of a true feast of flavours with ready-made gift sets combining both the sweet and savoury things that can be made from garlic. In 2022 we began working with a farm from Līvāni municipality, so the sets now include "Basturma", or air-dried meat, and with a Krāslava farm to include a hard cheese ball in the "Līvānu ķiploks" sets. Isn't garlic with air-dried meat a true delicacy? At Easter and Midsummer, cheese and garlic sauce go wonderfully with a mug of good beer.
