Where the Zemgale plain ends and Kurzeme has not yet begun, in a scenic spot next to Mežakalns hillfort and directly opposite the ancient Semigallian Dobe hillfort in Vītiņi parish, lies Dobeskalni Winery. Here I, Arnis Lignickis, am the winemaker, and together with my family we offer only the finest creations. Our wines are made from fruit and berries picked in our own garden and in the wild, whose flavour and aroma are captured and preserved in every bottle. We have been growing various berries and fruit on 6 ha since 2012, and making wine since 2018. We make our wines only from the best fruit and berries, carefully selected from the harvest. We offer more than fifteen different fruit and berry wines, with the range changing according to when they ripen. Tastings are available at the winery for groups all year round.
